This is normally the first question we would ask our customer, that’s because the outdoor version and indoor version cylinder led display is totally different, The outdoor version has higher brightness and protective grade than indoor version, and for indoor version we can make pixel pitch as small as 0.9375mm while for outdoor version, the smallest pixel pitch we can make is 3.33mm. This is because that for indoor version, the led boards is using magnet to attach to the sheet iron and this is safe enough. While for outdoor version, we need to use a lock system to avoid the quake and strong wind. So this is crucial if it is for indoor or for outdoor use. Otherwise we would end up giving a wrong proposal.
2: What diameter and height of the cylinder led display you need?
For the cylinder led display, the diameter and height can determine the size of the led display, as the led display’s size is the circumference of the cylinder x the height of the cylinder. We now have 3 different size led boards, 240*120mm, 250*125mm, 320*160mm. So the size of the cylinder led display can not always be like what you asked, as the size of the cylinder led display need to be the multiples of the led boards. For example, if you want a diameter 1m height 3m cylinder led display. So your idea cylinder’s circumference is 1*3.14=3.14m wide, 3.14/0.32=9.8125, then we would suggest to use 10 column led boards, which would be 10*0.32/3.14=1.02m in diameter. For the height 3/0.16=18.75, then we would suggest to use 19 rows of led boards which would be 19*0.16=3.04m in height. So for this, we would suggest you to go with diameter 1.02m, height 3.04m cylinder, total useing 10*19=190pcs 320*160mm led boards.

3:Does it have a existing column? Will the cylinder led display enclose the column?
For some customers, they just want the cylinder led display to display on an empty space, while for some other customer, they want our the cylinder led display to enclose a existing column. If you want the cylinder led display to enclose a column, then you need to tell us several questions.
3.1:what’s the diameter of the existing column.
As the cylinder led display’s cabinet has around 80mm thickness, hence when we do the design we need to take the column’s diameter into consideration. We also need to know if the column is straight or not. We have done a project before that in the design dwg file, it shows the column’s diameter is 900mm, while in the site, it has an decorating square plasterboard that can not be damaged. Hence in the end, we need to redo the design and remake the cabinet to a bigger size.
3.2: how would you install the cylinder led display on the column, from ground or in the middle?
Normally the cylinder led display is installed from ground up, while for some customer, they only want the middle part to have the cylinder led display. If it is from the ground up, then the normal cabinet is ok to build from ground. While if it need to be installation in the middle, then a supporting structure would also be needed, then the cabinet would be connected with the supporting structure. The supporting structure would need to bolt on the column, and the supporting structure also would have thickness. Then the diameter of the cylinder also need to change accordingly.
3.3:Do you have a installation site’s picture?
The installation site’s condition would also affect the design of the cylinder led display, For example, we did a project that the cylinder led display in installed to enclose a column, but the column is around 40cm from a glass on both side, this means that the people can not get inside to do the installation. Then we developed a wheel on the base, so that it can spin to complete the installation. All those design need to know in the beginning, otherwise it would cost more time and more money.
4: What content do you want to display on it? Do you have an ideal resolution? How often do you change the display content?

5: Is it a fixed installation or would move from place to places?
Normally the cylinder led display is for fixed installation, While for some customer they want to use it in trade shows move from places to places. For such applications, we would suggest you to go with our bottle shape led display, If you do not want our bottle shape led display, we also would suggest you to do the size more portable. As this is using sheet iron cabinet, constant assemble and dismantle would affect the precision of the cabinet, normally we would suggest to use turn key solution, that we apply wheels on the base of the cylinder led display, and you can just move it into a flight case.
