Front lighting transparent led screen is the basic type of the transparent led screen, It uses TOP type SMD lamp soldering on hollow PCB board with the IC on the back of the PCB board. The hollow design of the PCB make light pass through screen possible.

Pros:
1.1: It is easy to design, and produce
1.2: It use tradition led lamps and IC which is easy to get
1.3: It has a wide pixel pitch selection from pixel pitch 2.6mm to 15.6mm
1.4: It does not have obvious brighter or darker line in the screen
Cons:

1.2: IC are focus on the side of the screen, which make that area easy to have color shift due to heat raise

Traditional transparent led display

Side lighting transparent LED screen

Side lighting transparent led screen is use side lighting led lamp soldering on the side of the pcb board. As to reach high viewing angle, the led lamp need to be at the edge of the pcb board, which makes the SMT process harder than Front light solution.

Pros:
2.1 It has a high transparent rate when view horizontally
2.2:It can give a high brightness
2.3: It is easy to customize into different length
Cons:
2.1: It has different transparent rate between looking virtically and horizontally
2.2: It is eaiser to have brighter or darker line, random dots in screen
2.3: The color temperature is different between view from left and right
2.4: The back of the screen would also have lights
2.5: Difficult to produce

Side led lamp transparent led display

Front lighting Side PCB transparent LED screen

Front lighting lamp soldering on Side PCB transparent led screen is using normal front lighting SMD lamp, but instead of soldering on the PCB board’s surface, the lamp is soldering on the side of the PCB board. This needs the PCB to have special treatment, and also very hard to produce.

3.1: It has a high transparent rate when view horizontally
3.2: It uses traditional led lamp and IC
3.3: Easy to customized different length

Cons:
3.1: Hard to produce, need special designed PCB board
3.2: It is eaiser to have brighter or darker line, random dots in screen
3.3: The soldering treatment is not strong, hence easy to lost lamp

Adhesive film transparent LED screen

Adhesive film transparent led screen (IC+lamp combo) uses special led lamp with IC built-in, As no IC needed, hence the PCB board can be more small ( which means more hollow space). After coating the PCB board with transparent film and pc, the screen have a very good transparent rate.

Pros:
4.1: Higher transparent rate
4.2: Lightweight
4.3: Easy to install

Cons:
4.1: The viewing angle is not consistent
4.2: It has color shift
4.3: It need special led lamp and also expensive

Thin flexible transparent LED screen film

Thin film transparent led screen is an upgrade of the adhesive file transparent led screen, It also have led lamp with built-in IC, but unlike the adhesive file transparent led screen that still use PCB board, Thin file transparent led screen uses conduct transparent materials on which the lamp is connected on.

5.1: High transparent rate
5.2: lightweight
5.3: Easy to install
5.4: Advanced appearance

Cons:
5.1: Viewing angle is small
5.2: Color shift
5.3: The exposed wire is easy to get oxidation
5.4: The soldering process is difficult

Glass film transparent LED screen

Glass Transparent led screen uses led lamp which has built-in IC soldering on conductive glass, then cover the led lamp with another glass on top.

Pros:

6.2: Waterproof can be used outdoor

Cons:
6.1: Need design the glass from project to project
6.2: Hard to maintanence, can not bend

Outdoor transparent led screen normally refer to the front lamp lighting transparent led screen, after special treatment like injection of glue to fill the space of the lamp and IC. So that it can be waterproof, sunlight proof and dust proof.

7.2: Waterproof and wind proof
7.3: Die casting cabinet makes the splicing easier

Cons:
7.1: smaller transparent rate
7.2: IC area have a high temperature as outdoor led screen have a high brightness needs

Led Stripe transparent led screen (also can be called Grille Transparent led display) is normally used in big pixel pitch applications, it uses traditional SMD led lamp of DIP led lamp, which soldering on a stripe shape PCB. Then put the stripe PCB into Aluminium profile, and then fill the profile with glue to make it water proof

8.2: Easy to customized different size and pixel pitch
8.3: Easy to install

Cons:
8.1: It is hard to maintain flatness
8.2: Heavier
8.3: Need many wires to control the stripe
