2: Why it has such a high transparency rate?
Because it is using a new technology which make a new design structure possible we call this design Holographic Transparent led display. unlike the tranditional transparent led display that the PCB need to leave space for led lamp and IC, the new one’s lamp has a IC built in. which makes it more room to place the lamp, hence more hollow it can be. The one that used in the ISE entrance door has a transparency rate of more than 80%, and its pixel pitch is 3.91mm.

The one used in the ISE entrance door, has a brightness of 4000nit. The reason that it has such a high brightness is, first its lamp has IC built within, second it is gold wire lamp with high brightness specs.
What is Holographic Transparent led display?
Holographic Transparent led display is relatively a new design of transparent led display. It offers a much higher transparency rate then normal transparent led display which make the image displayed on the screen seems float on the screen, and make it looks like holograph image. It becomes even more popular after the ISE2024 where the Fira Barcelona used a big golographic led display on the gate entrance.
Normally a LED display is made up by LED lamps, ICs, resistors, capacitance, etc which are all attached on a PCB board. The normal kind of the transparent led display is by rearrange the layout of the lamp, IC, resistors, etc on the PCB board, and then cut space gaps on the PCB boards. Those space gaps allows lights to pass through hence make the led display transparent. But due to led lamp, IC, resistors all have sizes, Hence to increase the transparency rate, we would make the the horizontal pitch different from vertical pitch. For example, pixel pitch X: 3.91mm Y:7.82mm. And in doing so, it can have a transparency rate of less than 50% as the IC and connectors also takes up some space.
Hence for the normal transparent led display, we would know to make a higher transparency rate led display, it need smaller size led lamp, and it would also have a limitation of the transparency rate.
While for Holographic transparent led screen, it is using a different technology. The LED lamp used in holographic transparent led screen has the driving IC within the lamp. Hence unlike the traditional transparent led display that it also need to leave space for the IC, resistor, etc. Now the holographic transparent led screen only need to consider the led lamp’s circuit, and the space originally left for ICs, resistors are now can all be made holes. The difference of Holographic Transparent led display and Traditional transparent led display?
1: Design
The biggest difference between holographic transparent led display and traditional transparent led display is the design. As the holographic transparent led display use special led lamp that has IC built within, Hence in the design it does not need to leave space for ICs, Besides, the traditional transparent led display has a cabinet frame which the PCB boards would fixed on. While for the holographic transparent led display, it does not have cabinet.
2: PCB
As the holographic transparent led display is using LED lamp with IC built in, hence the PCB board can have more holes ( which lead to more transparency), and more easy in design since it does not need to consider the layout of the IC, resistors and other componenets
3: IC
The holographic transparent led display has the IC built in the led lamp. This is good and easy for PCB design. But as the IC is fixed, hence we are not allowed to choose a different IC ( normally the holographic transparent led display would have refresh rate of 3840Hz). While for Traditional transparent led display, we are allowed to choose different IC with different specs. For example, we higher rank IC to reach 7680Hz refresh rate and better greyscale.
4: Brightness
As we know that the brightness of the led display need to be considered according to the installation site. For example, for indoor application, normally the brightness is around 800-1000nit, and for semi outdoor, the brightness is around 3500-4200nit. and for outdoor application, the brightness is above 4200nit.
For traditional transparent led display, we can have different brightness using different led lamps. Hence it is easy to have the apporitoate brightness with a better budget.
While for holographic transparent led display, normally it is using gold wire led lamp which can give high brightness, the standard brightness of the holographic transparent led display is above 3500nits. Good for indoor and semi-outdoor applications
5:Weight and Thickness
As the Transparent led display has cabinet, normally the weight is around 10kg/sqm. Has a thickness of at least 80mm
While for holographic transparent led display, it is installed on the glass, its weight around 3kg/sqm, very lightweight. The thickness is only 2mm in thick
6: Transparency rate
Due to the IC built in the led lamp. holographic transparent led display gives a phono transaprent rate more then 80%. and it does not . You can see the chart below of the transparent rate.
7: Price
As we discussed above, as we can choose the specs for the traditional transparent led display (IC, led lamp), hence the price of the traditional transparent led display has a wide range. and can always come with good budget.
While for holographic transparent led display, the lamp is fixed which means the specs are fixed. ( it is using gold wire led lamp, high brightness, high refresh rate, good greyscale)And the specs are similar to a high end semi-outdoor traditional transparent led display. Hence the price is higher.
8.Heat dissipation
As we know that heat is the biggest enemy of the led display, not only it would cause color shifting, reduce the life span of the led, but also consume more energy. Hence heat dissipation is a important factor in designing a led display. The biggest heat source of the led display lies in the LED lamps and ICs. For traditional transparent led display, normally we would put the ICs all in a area to leave a bigger space gaps. Which normally generate the color shift. While for the holographic transparent led display, the IC is built in, hence which makes the heat is evenly placed, which would have a better heat dissipation.

With it is holographic feature, with the right content, it can be the best eye catching tool to attract customers.
2: Shop windows
With its high transparency rate and high brightness feature, It will not block light from get inside, as well as give a sharp image to the people outside. Making it a perfect screen for displaying advertisements.
3: Museum
The holographic visual effect feature gives it a new dimension when merge the display item with the displaying content, give the audiences a new feeling of the item that is showed. Also make it very eye attractive.
4: Exhibition shows
Holographic transparent led display is a very good tool to attract customers, which lead to many potential customers.
